Draws from the architectural patterning of Spanish tilework. Walking through Santa Barbara, you notice the stucco facades, the arches, and the courtyards where these tiles appear in repeating rhythms. There is a sense of romance in the way they catch the light and frame the spaces they inhabit. For Electric Bowery co-founder Lucia Bartholomew, who calls Santa Barbara home, these details are a part of her everyday landscape and a continual source of inspiration. All of these details are translated into a woven design, allowing for a physical connection back to place, with a palette that recalls clay, adobe, and terracotta.
